Hello, friends. Strider here. Making a post to let you know of the goings on here at The Syntax Partnership. As most of you know, the Mega Man PC project has become a part of this community. But behind the scenes, Speedy and I are cooking up something special for everyone. Aside from our own projects, we plan on releasing our Mega Man engine for users of Clickteam Fusion 2.5. While we don't have a planned release date, I can tell you many of the features that will be available.

The engine itself is designed to allow you, the developer, to use any main character from the series, alongside any WEAPON, at any time. Simply change a few values and you're good to go. It will be a fully functional game engine, needing only small tweaks here and there and new maps created by you. And finally, the game will have an internal database containing data and behaviors for every weapon and adaptor every officially made by Capcom. Add as many weapon slots as you wish, and place any weapon of choice in said slots. There's even room for original functions!

We are very excited to be bringing this to you. And as the engine is developed, we will give you updates for new features and functions. We hope to see some quality fan games born from this. Let's all show Capcom that the Blue Bomber isn't dead!

May as well get this out of the way. Haha.

Greetings! My name is Nic. Also known as Strider from SMMD, Robotropolis, Gamma Star, and Fangamez.net. Call me whatever you like, I'm not picky. I am one of the co-founders of the Syntax Partnership alongside my friend Duane. This website is dedicated to the creation of quality fan based and original games.

I am 31 years old, and a father of 6 children. I work full time as a CNA at a local nursing home. And in my spare time, I work on my various projects and play games on a variety of consoles. I prefer retro-style games from the NES/SNES days, but also will try out newer ones if they catch my eye. Nice to meet you all, and enjoy your stay!

Mega Man PC / Ouya Version Delayed

Sad, but true. The Ouya version of the game will be delayed due to limitations with Clickteam Fusion's Android Exporter. While I took special care to optimize the game as much as possible for the console, many functions that I would like to include in the game simply do not work unless I can come up with a few work-arounds. The biggest problem is the color swapping that Mega Man is known for. The "Replace Color" function in the Android Exporter simply doesn't work, and won't be implemented by Clickteam until Android technology has come far enough to allow the function to work without performance issues. The MINIMUM for it to work is on GPU 18, using Firmware 4.4. Sadly, the Ouya uses GPU 14 and FW 4.1.2.

Needless to say, this is going to take some work to get it functioning the way players would enjoy it. I have some ideas lined up, but due to time constraints, I simply cannot implement them until the current engine is completed. Believe me, no one is more crushed about this issue than I am.
